About igenius Scholarship Programme 2011
Designed by the renowned Derek 'O' Brien & Associates, Max New York Life igenius
scholarship programme 2011 was launched in March 2011 as a comprehensive all round
talent recognition & reward initiative for children from classes 3 to 8.
The eminent jury comprising Derek O'Brien, Niel O'Brien, Ruskin Bond and Mr. Rajesh
Sud (M.D. Max New York Life Insurance) evaluated these participants through the
various stages of the scholarship programme.
igenius Scholarship Categories & Stages
For children in 2 categories, i.e. Junior (class 3-5) and Senior (class 6-8), the
igenius scholarship 2011 was spread in 4 stages over a period of 9 months. The participants
were required to go through various levels of screening that involved written tests
in stage 1 & 2, video interaction with experts and performance in front of live
audience.
igenius Scholarship 2011 Grand Finale & Winners
The igenius Scholarship grand finale was held as a glittering ceremony at Epicentre,
Gurgaon on 20th Dec, 2011. Besides the igenius kids and their parents, the event
was attended by eminent personalities from the jury, Max New York Life Insurance's
senior management and media.
After 9 months & 4 stages of hard work, Vaania Kapoor Achuthan from Bengaluru emerged
victorious in Junior category winning the grand 1st prize and Aastha Agrawal from
Nashik, was the proud winner from Senior category.
The rest of the participants shortlisted for grand finale received scholarships
worth Rs 1 Lac each. Additionally, the 3rd and consolation prize winners were also
announced.
Further, this year Max New York Life presented a talent encouragement award of Rs
1 Lac to Aman Kumar from the Junior category for his achievements and the spirit
to fight hardships at an early stage of life.
