About Young Authors' Hunt

The Young Authors' Hunt is a unique programme that celebrates, recognises and rewards your kids' writing talent. The process aims to nurture the budding young authors of the country. Writing is a form of talent that has immense potential to give your children the confidence for life and wings to their dreams of becoming a celebrated author one day.

The expert guidance of our jury panel comprising of renowned authors Chetan Bhagat and Ruskin Bond are here to ensure that these budding young authors get all the professional nurturing throughout the programme. And that's not all, the top 40 entries at the end of the programme will be published in a book by Rupa Publications India.

Who can participate?

The igenius Young Authors' Hunt is open for all children between ages 8-15, studying in government recognized schools including private, public or national open schools all over India. There are 2 categories: Juniors (Age 8-12 years) & Seniors (Age 12-15 years). Children of Max Life Insurance Employees and Agent advisors who qualify as per the criteria above are also eligible to participate in the Young Authors' Hunt.

*Children of Max Life Insurance Employees and Agent advisors are eligible to participate in Young Authors' Hunt. A maximum of 10% 'Creative Writing Submission' shortlisted at Round 2 & 3 will be reserved for these children. A maximum of 10% 'Creative Writing Submission' shortlisted for Grand 1st Prize & 2nd Prize will be reserved for these children.

1500 prizes to be won:

Grand First Prize: 40 winners- Creative writing submissions to be published in a book by Rupa Publications India and win Kindle e-book reader each.

Second Prize: 60 winners- Creative writing submissions to be published in a children's publication or an igenius e-book and Young Authors' Scholarships of worth Rs. 5000 each.

Consolation Prize: 400 winners- will receive a children's book hamper each.

*First 1000 'Creative Writing Submission' submitted at www.igenius.org to get an autographed book by Ruskin Bond.
