The Commonwealth Games (CWG) is round the corner and India has its own set of promising
players who can bring those shining medals for the country. One such rising player
is Saina Nehwal, an uprising Badminton player, who has been ranked number 3 by World
Badminton Federation.
Born on March 17, 1990 in Hisar, Haryana, Saina spent her entire life in Hyderabad.
It was the continuous support and motivation by her parents, Dr. Harvir Singh and
Usha Nehwal, that made her enter the world of Badminton.

About Paula Griffin:
Paula Griffin was born on 11 July, 1988 in Auckland, New Zealand and is the second
of three children. At a mere age of 22, she is a rising New Zealand netball player
and is definitely a player to watch out for, in the upcoming Delhi Common Wealth
Games 2010.
Unforgettable Achievements:
Netball is where Paula’s heart lies and the list of her achievements is quite lengthy.
In 2006, she was selected for the New Zealand U21 team. The same year, she also
played in the National Bank Cup for the Auckland Diamonds.
However, this is not all about this great netball player. She went on to join the
New Zealand national netball team, the Silver Ferns, in September 2006. The next
year, she drove her team to the second spot at the 2007 Netball World Championships
in Auckland. This helped Paula making a big presence in the sport.
Again, she led the New Zealand U21 team to grab the second spot at the 2009 World
Youth Netball Championships in the Cook Islands. It is her impressive progress and
commitment to the sport that makes her a perfect choice for the Commonwealth New
Zealand Netball team and also a player to watch out for.
